User Impact : Users may have been unable to access OneDrive for Business content on devices running iOS 14.
More info : Impact was specific to users who were on devices running iOS 14 that received the app from Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • For users who hadn’t yet experienced impact, we recommended admins implement safe rollout for the OneDrive iOS app from Intune rather than auto update to ensure that the newest OneDrive app wasn’t deployed to users on any version of iOS 14.
  • Users could have also upgraded to iOS 15 to experience relief.
Final status : We’ve confirmed that the updated version of the OneDrive for Business app has been successfully approved by Apple and is now available in the app store.
  • Additionally, we’ve verified via service telemetry and with some formerly affected MDM users that impact is resolved as the OneDrive for Business app no longer crashes when utilized on any iOS 14 version.
Scope of impact : This issue affected some MDM users attempting to access OneDrive for Business content on devices running iOS 14.
Start time : Thursday, March 3, 2022, 9:00 AM (12:00 AM UTC)
End time : Friday, March 11, 2022, 2:35 AM (3/10/2022, 5:35 PM UTC)
