【トラブルシューティング】”IMAP 4″ を利用してメールボックスにアクセスできない事象が発生中

Microsoft が提供する法人向け “Microsoft 365” のサービスにて、アドバイザリ “EX1215307（Some users may intermittently be unable to access their mailboxes using Internet Mailbox Access Protocol 4（IMAP4））” が発生していることを明らかにしています。

本アドバイザリの影響を受けているユーザーは、認証方式に “IMAP 4” を利用してメールボックスにアクセスしようとするユーザーはメールボックスのアイテムにアクセスが行えない場合があります。

なお、現在は本事象を改善するための修正プログラムの展開が行われており、次回のアドバイザリの更新までには展開が完了する予定の模様です。

影響を受けているユーザーが “IMAP 4” を利用してメールボックスにアクセスできないことがあります。

管理者向け

・本事象は認証方式に “IMAP 4” を選択している時のみ発生するものとなり、ほかの認証方式で接続している場合は影響を受けません。
また、影響を受けているユーザーが、再度、メールボックスにアクセスすると成功する可能性もあります。
・テナントの管理者ユーザーは “Microsoft 365 管理センター” 内の [サービス正常性] より、”EX1215307（https://admin.cloud.microsoft/#/servicehealth/history/:/alerts/EX1215307）” を定期的に確認することを推奨します。

エンドユーザー向けの回避策

・メールボックスへのアクセスにデスクトップクライアントなどを利用している場合、再度、メールボックスにアクセスすることで成功する可能性があります。
・Outlook on the web でメールボックスにアクセスすることで回避できることが想定されます。

This information may be updated as our investigation continues.

Root cause

A recent IMAP deployment related to authentication support contains a code conflict that introduced a configuration issue and is causing intermittent mailbox access issues for some impacted users.

We’ve completed developing the configuration change and have validated it in our internal testing environment to ensure its efficacy in remediating impact.
We’re halting the deployment to prevent further impact from spreading and are developing a configuration change to restore service functionality.
We’ve started deploying it to the impacted environments and we’ll aim to provide a resolution timeline by our next scheduled update.
