Microsoft が提供する Microsoft 365 のサービス正常性（DZ285882）にて、Microsoft Office や Adobe Reader などのアプリケーションが特定の状況下で応答しなくなることがある SI（サービスインシデント）が発生していることを発表してます。

本事象は、Microsoft Exploit Protection EAF（Export Address Filterling）機能を有効にして、2021 年 9 月のセキュリティー更新プログラムをインストールしているユーザーにて発生している可能性があるとのこと。

なお、この問題は KIR（Known Issue Rollback）を使用することで軽減できるとのことです。

・More info : This issue might affect users who have the Microsoft Exploit Protection EAF (Export Address Filtering) feature enabled and have installed the September security updates.
・This issue can be mitigated using Known Issue Rollback (KIR) :

We’ve developed a fix which is undergoing validation prior to release. We expect to have a release timeline by the next scheduled update.
・Scope of impact : Impact is specific to a subset of your users configured with the Microsoft EAF feature enabled and have the September security updates installed.

・Root cause : A recent Windows service update contained a code error, resulting in impact.

・More info : This issue will affect users who have the Microsoft Exploit Protection EAF (Export Address Filtering) feature enabled. Additionally, the issue only impacts :
– ARM 64 machines
– AMD 64 machines with certain plug-ins.
・Current status : We’ve received reports where users’ Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader applications may crash under specific circumstances.
We’re reviewing diagnostic and application logs to determine the underlying cause of the issue.
・Scope of impact : Impact is specific to a subset of your users with the above listed configuration.
